Since its beginning, Elk Spar & Boat Shop has been busy repairing and restoring boats, primarily wooden boats.
Before our 50'x80' building was built in 1996, Jim Elk and an assorted group of independent boat builders had led the big wooden repairs for several MDI boatyards, including the Hinckley Co where, for example, they worked on an extensive renovation of a 100' Trumpy motor yacht.
Once our own building was built, we were able to take on a continuing series of boat projects, most notably of the Luders built boats. See more of our Luders specific work here.
